About this course
Everyone is responsible for health and safety. That includes you!
This course provides a refresher in Health and Safety for people who have done the Care Certificate. It is complimented by various different courses we provide that go into greater detail, for example, COSHH, Stress Awareness, Fire Safety and Medication.

Legislation exists to protect people.
Laws have been created to enforce people’s rights and to solve conflict. They exist so everyone in society knows which behaviours and practices are acceptable and which are not.
Your employer may have policies and procedures covering a wide range of health and safety subjects to incorporate the legal requirements.
You will need to use the legal framework and communicate with your employer about local health and safety policies and procedures.

20. Explain how to prevent fires from starting or spreading
21. Describe what to do in the event of a fire
22. Describe the measures designed to protect security at work for you and people you support
23. Explain the agreed ways of working for checking identity of people
24. Recognise common signs and indicators of stress in yourself and others
25. Identify circumstances that tend to trigger stress in yourself and others
