Specialist techniques

There are a number of specialist techniques that can only be carried out by people who have received specialist training, these are: 

The following techniques can only be administered by a specially trained professional, for example, a doctor or nurse:

Intravenous medication
Injected directly into the veins and absorbs quickly 
Intramuscular medication
Injected directly into the large muscles in the body like the legs or bottom
