Report it
If you suspect a data breach has happened then you must tell your manager immediately.
You might have read about scary fines that organisations can be given but the real reasons are:
- -to make sure the individual is safe
- -stop any more information from being shared
- -learn from what happened and make sure it doesn’t happen again
- and finally comply with the legal requirements
