7. Identify a range of sources of information, advice and support

There are a range of sources available about equality, diversity and inclusion.

Your manager can always support you and you can read information about the legislation. Here are some other suggestions with links to their websites:

The Equality and Human Rights Commission

They stand up for freedom, compassion and justice in our changing times. 

Their work is driven by a simple belief; if everyone gets a fair chance in life, we all thrive. Their resources include video clips and publications.

Direct Gov

The government provide lots of information and guidance on the legislation.

Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS)
They provide free and impartial information and advice to employers and employees on all aspects of workplace relations and employment law.  They support good relationships between employers and employees.

Citizens Advice (Previously Citizens Advice Bureau)

They provide a network of charities offering confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free.  They aim to give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.
